This website represents a selection of paintings and drawings produced over the last 20 years. The paintings are organized into 3 groups:

Early Work, Figure and Ground and Recent Work.

‘Early Work’ is a sampling of paintings done in Encaustic (pigments in beeswax) and oil. They are intuitive (often metaphorical) and experimental in nature.

‘Figure and Ground’ paintings are done exclusively in oil on canvas or panel. This group is rooted more in naturalism rather than invention. They portray the human figure in variety of contexts.

‘Recent Work’ is a selection of pieces often initiated with acrylic washes and incorporate oil at later stages. They seem to be moving toward a playful balance of abstraction and narrative. Many are reflections on contemporary western culture.

The Drawings tab will take you to works done primarily with brush and ink on unsized paper.

Some works are in private collections (priv. col.) but most are available for purchase or loan. Works range from 400 to 1800 CAD.
